Should We Follow Our Heart?

•  2 Chronicles 6:7-9 - Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart: Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name. 

•  Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. 

•  Proverbs 21:2 - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. 

•  Proverbs 28:26 - He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. 

•  Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 

•  Proverbs 3:5 -  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

•  Psalm 40:8 - I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
