“And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers” – Luke 2:47
There has never been, nor will there ever be anyone who is so well qualified to speak, instruct and encourage as our Savior, Jesus Christ. He always knew what to say in any situation or occasion. He knew the right words to say to the weary, the broken-hearted, and those who were heavy laden with sin. In fact, His words are the very words of which we continue to turn to in times of difficult and pressing circumstances.
Jesus was able to communicate so well, and with timely words because he was taught by His Father in Heaven. He was always ready and prepared to instruct, comfort and encourage the people. The words He spoke were peaceful, yet powerful and persuasive. They were with so much intelligence and eloquence that the very words He spoke were astonishing to the ears of those who heard Him.
You too can learn how to speak with intelligence and eloquence, especially in times when you may be confronted with mischief, confusion starters and instigators during your day. Rather than responding with vindictive and quarrelsome words, the Holy Spirit can teach you how to respond with words that are peaceful, yet powerful and persuasive, that it will confound the face of those who hope to bring you to their level of immaturity.
Right words aim to help, heal, encourage, uplift and give life to those who are lost, troubled, depressed or discouraged. Not to hurt, dishearten, depress the spirit or deprive a person’s confidence. Neither do right words aim to bully or break down a person, but rather edifies or builds up a person.
Learn to speak peaceful, yet powerful and persuasive words in any situation under the leading of the Holy Spirit that could end in a peaceful solution, and glorify the Father in Heaven.
