"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” – Ephesians 3:20
We serve a Living God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we think, conceive and ask, according to the power that works in us.
And if He does not give a man what He asks or desires, it is absolutely certain, that it is not that He can’t or is not able to do it, but because He as our Father, has a good reason why it should not be given, just as a parent will have a good reason why He or she does not always give their children what they ask, even when they are able to give it.
God knows the needs of every one of His children, and will give them what He sees is best for them to have, according to His will, His purpose, and their good (Matthew 6:32).
And this is what every believer in Christ should desire from God; whatever is good for them to have, and whatever will benefit them the most according to His Will and Purpose for their lives. This will require our trusting God’s judgment and decision in giving us that “good thing” which will not be withheld from those who walk upright in their walk with Christ (Psalm 84:11).
If we know God is able to meet anything we can conceive, think and ask, and would rather give us the good thing which will be the best thing that would be more beneficial for us, why would we want anything else?
