“And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered…Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” – Matthew 12:10a, Matthew 12:13; Philippians 4:13
While Jesus was in the synagogue of the Pharisees, a man with a withered hand came to Him for healing. Our Savior desiring to grant his request, commanded him to stretch forth his hand.
This man was commanded to do something that seem impossible to do because of his current condition; yet, without hesitation, he did what he was told because he wanted to be healed. And when he did, a marvelous miracle happened. His withered hand was healed. It was restored to where it looked the same as the other.
But, how was he able to comply with what he was commanded to do with a withered hand? The Lord saw his willingness to comply with His commandment, and therefore supported him with divine strength, enabling him to do what he was asked. Jesus will never command us to do something without giving us the ability or strength, if we are willing.
If you desire to be healed from physical, emotional or health challenges, the Lord can help you. He can strengthen you with the ability to overcome any challenge and achieve any results. But, there will be instructions you will need to consistently follow day by day, or as scheduled, that may include: daily reading, meditation and prayer; eating proper foods and light exercises; and for some, taking medications as prescribed by your doctor.
Are you willing to follow instructions that will lead to healing and better health? How bad you want it will be determined by your willingness to do whatever you are instructed to do, as best as you can.
If a man with a withered hand made an effort to lift up his weak hand when he was instructed to do so for his healing, you can make an effort to do whatever is asked of you for your healing and better health. It’s up to you!
There is a remedy for healing and better health, if you are willing to follow the instructions. Are you willing?
