“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way” – Psalm 37:23
Do you know what the Lord would have you to do today, and where He would have you to go? Are you allowing Him to direct your steps, to give you instructions for the day ahead? Are you to go this way or that way, straight ahead, or stay in place?
Before setting out on His daily journey, Jesus would voluntarily make the sacrifice to rise early in the mornings to meet with His Father in prayer; to talk with Him, to be taught by Him, and to receive instructions as to the direction he should take, and the work He was to do in the day ahead.
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed” – Mark 1:35
If our Lord and Savior found it necessary to meet with the Father in the mornings before going out into the world, how much more important would it be for you to do the same; to take the time to find out God’s plan for your day? Or do you have your own agenda?
Since God knows the plans for our life, the way in which we are to go should be under His divine guidance; if we trust Him, and if we truly desire for Him to be a part of our life every day.
Before you head out into the world, before you begin to dive into the daily issues of life, take the time to know God’s plan for your day - where He would have you to go, and what He would have you to do; not just for today, but every day. And then make sure you faithfully follow in the steps that have been ordered for you.
In our lives we can do without many things, but we cannot do without the guidance of God in a world that is getting darker and darker every day.
