"But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ"- Ephesians 2:13
God because of His grace and mercy has provided all mankind an opportunity to be joint-heirs of a new covenant through the blood of His Son Jesus, whereby both Jews and Gentiles would be partakers with the same privileges of enjoying God's promised blessings, both temporal and future.
Since we who believe in the Son of God and have received Him into our lives, we no longer are shut out of the covenant of promised blessings, we are no longer strangers, we are no longer roaming to and from like a lost child without a home and family, and most importantly, we are no longer separated from the Father in Heaven.
We who were Gentiles by nature have now been brought into a new covenant, a covenant of grace and mercy, where two nations were merged into one that they may both enjoy all the benefits and blessings together, which God has promised to those who enter the new covenant through His Son Jesus (Ephesians 2:14).
We are now citizens of a community crowned as royal priests, a community with a common hope that we will come face to face with our Savior who died for us, and will come back for us to take us to our home in glory.
It is for this reason, every professing believer in Christ should live with thankfulness for being brought near to God, through the precious and sacred blood, which flowed from the pierced side of His Son Jesus.
