"With my whole heart have I sought you" - Psalms 119:10a
Do you consistently seek after the Lord no matter what is going on your life? Can you approach the throne of grace at any time without the conviction that it is the first time, for a long time since you’ve been there? Sometimes you will never see or hear from a person until they need something. Is this the kind of relationship you have with God?
When you are truly in love with someone, you can’t bear staying away from them too long. You begin to reminiscence about the times you had together, then anticipate the next time you will be together. Does the love you have for God cause you to anticipate the next time you will meet him?
God wants His people to get to know Him. But, you can’t develop a relationship with a Kind and Loving God when you only show up when it's convenient, or when you are in trouble.
Seek the Lord with your whole heart at all times no matter what is going on in your life.
“…he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime” - Daniel 6:10
Consistently and persistently follow hard after the Lord, as you do with everything else you desire after in your life. There is nothing more important in life than taking the time to spend time with the giver of life, the one whom you love, because He first loved you.
