"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” – Ephesians 3:20
We serve a Living God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we think, conceive and ask according to the power that works in us. But if He does not give a man what he asks or desires, it is absolutely certain that it's not that He’s unable to do it, but because He as our Father has a good reason why we should not be given what we ask, just as a parent will have a good reason as to why their children should not be given what they ask, even when they are able to give it.
God knows the needs of every one of His children, and will give them what He sees is best for them to have according to His will, His purpose and their good without prejudice or preference.
“…for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things” - Matthew 6:32b
And this is what every believer in Christ should desire from God, whatever is good for them to have and whatever will benefit them the most according to His Will and Purpose for their lives. This will require trusting God’s judgment and decision in giving us that “good thing” which will not be withheld from those who walk upright in their walk with Christ.
If you know God is able to meet anything we can conceive, think and ask, but would rather give us the best thing for us, why would you want anything else?
