“I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel...” - Psalm 16:7a
There have been many times in our life we didn’t know what to do or where to go when faced with challenges or trials in various situations, and God had given us instructions.
God is an experienced counselor who always knows what to do in any situation or circumstance. He will always give advice that will help you and not hurt you - advice you will not be sorry or disappointed with its end result.
On many occasions the counsel of God was to “just wait.” Oh how difficult those times were when we needed an answer or resolution to an issue right away. But our waiting was to be an encouragement that he was working something out for our good. And when the waiting period was over, we found that it was well worth it – that it did work out for our good!
Reader, without the counsel of God, what would you do? How would you handle situations in your life the right way? How would you deal with your enemies the right way?
God is worthy of your praises today and every day for the many times he provided you with counsels that kept you out of harm’s way, counsels that made your enemies your footstool, counsels that helped you to make good decisions in difficult and pressurized situations, and so much more.
Take a moment to reminisce through your life and you’re realize just how good God has been. He has proven to be a Wonderful Counselor!
