“I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from where comes my help. My help comes from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. ” - Psalms 121:1-2
Looking back over your life when you were faced with difficulties, challenges and troubles, who was the first person you went to for help, direction and guidance? Was it a family member? Was it a friend? Or was it your Father in Heaven?
When you seek help from man first before going to the Father in Heaven, you can wind up going to the wrong person who may spread the news about your troubles, or to the wrong places where there are no available resources to help you in your right now situation.
No one else can connect you with people you can trust, and lead you to places where resources are available and waiting for you like God can. He knows who can be trusted and who has the resources to help us without hesitation in our time of need.
Learn that no matter how much pressure you are under from a situation that requires your immediate attention, seek God first for His help, not as a plan B, not after you tried it your way, but first and foremost.
Look up to the Governor of all things who dwells in Heaven and take your troubles to Him in prayer, expecting that He will have an answer and solution for your issue. In doing so, you will save yourself a lot of time and energy, and feelings of anxiety and frustration.
