"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture" - John 10:9
God had made a covenant of promises with the children of Israel which included both future blessings, and the coming of the Messiah, but Gentiles were shut out from having access to this covenant, thus having no access to the Father in Heaven and no hope or expectation of eternal life. But now, thanks to Jesus the Savior and Beloved Son of God, we who have accepted the free gift of salvation through the Son of God, now have access to the Father and hope of eternal life.
Our hope of eternal life in a future world rests on the promise of a Living and Holy God, who is not a man who should lie.
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? - Numbers 23:19
But those who continue to reject and mock our Savior, those who are without God in a world that continues to diminish from day to day remain in a state of darkness and condemnation. How can a man live in this world without Christ in his life?
Without Jesus, a man is left to bear the burdens of his trouble alone. Without Jesus, a man is left unaided and un-sustained with the fierce and uncontrollable calamities of life. Without Jesus, there is no other way to salvation, for he is the door to salvation. If you are living in this world without Jesus or you are not totally committed to following Jesus, why?
