"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” - Acts 17:11
We are living in a time where many believers in Christ are turning from the truth of God’s word, to believing the doctrines of false prophets and teachers for prosperity, success and easy living. These professed believers of Christ are more ready to receive false doctrines, than to be reproved or convinced of their sins.
“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” – Jeremiah 5:31
But the Lord is against prophets who use their tongues to say, “he said" or "thus saith the Lord”.
“Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith” – Jeremiah 23:31
False prophets and teachers are so crafty in their words, to where you may not be able to detect that their declarations and teachings are in error, which is a good reason why you must search and know the Holy written word of the Living God of Heaven for yourself, and ask the question, “Did the Lord really say that?”
It is the responsibility of every believer in Christ to guard themselves against false prophets and teachers. In doing so, like the Bereans who were more noble than those in Thessalonica, you will be able to verify the “so call truths” of false prophets and teachers, whose real agenda is to kill, steal and destroy God’s children using captivating, but deceitful words to lure you into their nest filled with other careless victims.
