“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him” – Exodus 32:26
There are people within Christ’s church who are not completely rooted and grounded in His church. They are people who tread back and forth between two worlds: the world of light, and the world of darkness because they are undecided about the course they want to take.
When the time comes to go to the house of God, they come with hands polluted from the things of the world and empty words of prayer and worship, thinking they are being heard by God and will walk out with the favor of God. Yet with a desire to live more and more like the world, a lifestyle that is contrary to the teachings of the Word of God. So they have one foot in, and one foot out; halfway in the church, and halfway in the world.
You cannot play the hokey pokey game with God. You cannot be on both sides of the gate. You cannot be undecided as to whether or not you believe in the Father and His Son. You cannot be undecided as to whether or not you will commit yourself to live your life in Christ. You cannot be indifferent. You cannot be lukewarm.
You do not want to be in either of these positions when our Lord Jesus Christ returns for His Church (Revelation 3:16). I encourage you today to make a firm decision to commit yourself entirely to the Lord, or entirely to the world.
