“And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you” - I Corinthians 12:21
There should always be a willingness to know more about the things of Christ, to grow and mature in Christ, and to be better and more effective in our work for Christ. But, what a shame it is when a person who has an opportunity to gain more wisdom, instead refuses to receive it, simply because he has respect of persons as to who he gets it from, and is too proud to receive it.
It doesn’t matter how talented or gifted we may be, we all need somebody to help us along the way. Somebody to teach us right from wrong, somebody to show us the next step we should take, or somebody to lend a hand when we’ve fallen and can’t get up. We need somebody, we need each other.
But, what a shame it is when a person who has an opportunity to gain more wisdom, instead refuses to receive it, because he has respect of persons as to who he gets it from, or is too proud to receive it.
If you want to improve what you know, if you want to be better, do better, there must be a willingness to humble yourself to receive wisdom from anybody who wants to share it.
You may not see it now, but you will look back on your life and realize, it was the hand of God using people in your life, to guide you to the place pre-destined for you.
