“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” - John 3:16
In the beginning, after God created heaven and earth and everything in it, He then created man in His own image, male and female He created - Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:27).
The LORD God commanded Adam, saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat from it, you shall surely die. But Eve being persuaded by the serpent to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, passed the fruit to Adam, and he did eat (Genesis 2:16-17, 3:3-6). And so they both made a sound decision to disobey a direct command from God, thereby sinning against God – “Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight” (Psalm 51:4).
Their disobedience was an example of a mind that had become an enmity against God, and it would be the reason they would no longer be in fellowship with God (Romans 8:7). Sin had separated them from a God who made sure they had everything they needed to survive, a God who was their care taker, a God they had direct access to, a God they were in fellowship with. But, that fellowship was disrupted by disobedience. The consequences of their sin would affect an entire world for generations to come.
But grace and mercy has stepped in with an opportunity for man to be reconciled with God. The only way this can be done, is for man to be born again. This is a necessary step if any man wants to enter and see the Kingdom of God.
Verily, verily, I (Jesus) say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God… Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” - John 3:3, 5.
Why must a man be born again? Because “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption” - I Corinthians 15:50.
How then, shall a man be born again?
Through Jesus Christ, the Son of God – “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:17).
God gave the most precious gift He had to save mankind from the destruction that is destined to come unto a dark world. And it is the only way by which men can be saved, an opportunity that is now available to all mankind, both Jews and Gentile. But, it is a choice every person must make on their own, and at their will.
If you do not believe in the Son of God, then you will not believe that He is the only way by which man can be saved. That is your choice. But understand this - no man will be able to enter into the Garden of Eden, the Holy City of God unless they, by God’s terms, follow the instructions given whereby they may enter.
If you have not made the decision to accept Jesus, the Son of God into your life, I encourage you to do it today. Accept the free gift of salvation today. Let not your heart be hardened to the voice of God who is calling you, to come into fellowship with Him and His Son. Let today be the first day, of a New Beginning, in a New Life, as a New Man or Woman.
He is waiting to receive you as His child, right now.
