PRAYER MOMENTS WITH GOD
With corresponding verses from the Old or New Testament.
Lord God of Heaven,
You have always been a loving and kind Father, always covering us with Your grace and mercy when trouble has made its way to our doorstep. This You have done so many times, even when we didn't deserve it.
And during those times Father, instead of yet praising You in our storm, and continue to "bless You at all times" as we often proclaim, we selfishly thought of our own selves and forgot about You. Not realizing Father, that even in times of trouble, comes the opportunity to glorify You and minister to others.
Forgive us Lord, and Help us! Help us to yet sing the songs of Zion when trouble comes. Cause our mouth to open, that blessings and praises will indeed continually flow from our mouth. Open our mouth that we may still rejoice and sing songs of Zion, as we did when the sun was shining bright and everything was alright, in times of prosperity or in poverty. Help us Lord! to not be hypocrites in our praises unto You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
(Psalm 137:1-4) By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?
