"And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
It is possible for the soul to be in deep peace, even when it is in the midst of danger. The kind of peace that overpowers and subdues stress and depression, so that it can no longer cause the heart, mind and spirit to be agitated or fearful.
This kind of peace is divine tranquility, a higher peace where you yet trust in the Lord, when you have been stripped of your property, and pushed into poverty; when you have gone from being healthy, to needing a helping hand; when you have spent your days praying for those who have been imprisoned, to spending your days as a prisoner yourself.
Whatever your troubles, don't let it shake your confidence in God, but rather stand firm in the peaceful presence of God. His peace will encourage you and strengthen you to continue on in your walk and work with His Son Jesus, in whom we are supplied with everything we need, even in the darkest moments.
Rest in the Lord and experience the peacefulness of His presence, a divine tranquility that cannot be experienced in no other, no matter where you go and how hard you try.
