“I will bless the Lord at all times, and His praise shall continually be in my mouth” – Psalm 34:1
David was at one of the darkest moments in his life where he was left wandering in the wilderness, to live an uncommon life he was not accustomed to living. This change of lifestyle was unplanned and was one he was forced into, when he had to flee his own home from an army of danger.
Being in this kind of circumstance most people would fall into despondency - but not David. Instead his soul was running over with praise. He decided there was not going to be a pause in his praise for the Lord, and that his praise would not only be on occasions when things were going good. But that even in circumstances where he was forced into an uncomfortable condition, he would yet praise the Lord while he had the opportunity.
There is always an opportunity to offer up praises unto our God. He never ceases to provide for us and protect us, even in circumstances where it may feel like He has abandoned us.
If you are in an uncomfortable circumstance, although you may have suffered a loss, don’t put a pause in your praise for the LORD. Let it continually be in your mouth – rain or shine, in good times and bad times. Be as faithful in your praises unto the LORD God of Heaven, even when the sun is not shining on your side. Your press to praise the LORD despite your uncomfortable conditions may inspire someone and help lift them up in their uncomfortable circumstances.
